Applied Knowledge & Innovation

Services : Research Involvement

All members of the Applied Knowledge & Innovation will be kept informed about research activity. Companies may also take a more active role in research by joining a collaborative group to work directly on a specific project.

An example of this is the Knowledge Management Implementers Forum. This is a small group of people from five organisations who work together with AKRI on knowledge management research. This group has already produced one academic paper and organised a business seminar on Knowledge Management. Work is continuing on further elements of the research. The KMIF has already published one paper "Practical Approaches to Knowledge Management ", and has another "Risk, Gap and Strength: Key concepts in Knowledge Management" which will be published in the journal Knowledge Based Systems later this year. This paper will become available on this site in the Papers zone on publication.

AKRI offers a good way for companies to participate in research at a variety of levels. If your organisation is a member of AKRI and you would like to find out more about options for collaborative research, please contact John L. Gordon - john@akri.org .
