Lee has worked for the AKRI and the North West Artificial Intelligence Applications Group since the beginning of 1996. His main interests are developing digital media systems for business support use and for presentations as well as designing, developing and maintaining the AKRI’s website. He tries to take a keen interest in all areas of digital media development and production and keeps an eye firmly on new developments in the field.
Lee’s professional interests include HCI, IA, Digital Media Authoring Systems, Image Manipulation and Digital Audio/Visual capture and editing. His current area of interest and development is the pursuit of Web Standards using XHTML and CSS for the AKRI website.
He is currently studying part-time for an MSc in Multimedia Computing at UCLAN where he has just begun his final project year. The project is closely tied to his development work on Corax, a browser/viewer for Knowledge Structure Map data. This qualification will complement an existing BA (Hons) degree in Communication Studies from Sunderland University and a HNC in Computing earned at Blackburn College. Lee has recently had his first paper published with John Gordon in “Learning Transformations : Changing Learners, Organisations and Communities”.
Lee has lead several business seminars on the topic of Multimedia Development and Human Computer Interface and also produces digital information systems and designs all printed materials for in-house use and distribution in a promotional capacity.
He has also designed and developed e-learning materials for Blackburn College and has designed and maintains a site for Salesbury School.
